Dos Vientos Ranch is located in Ventura County, about two miles south of Hwy. 101. Lynn Road borders the development on the south, while open space borders Dos Vientos on the east, the north, and west. Dos Vientos is located in the city of Thousand Oaks, and is approximately 20-25 minutes from Warner Center.

Dos Vientos Ranch is close to shopping, schools, entertainment, and employment. "The Oaks" regional shopping center is located at Lynn Road and Hwy. 101, within four miles of the development. The city of Thousand Oaks is home to many major employers, including Amgen, Baxter, Dole Foods, and Verizon Wireless.
