"Staging," or preparing a home so that it shows well, is a crucial step in the home selling process, but one that is often overlooked by many real estate agents, or at best, is an afterthought. The Humphrey Team believes strongly in the effect that proper staging can have on how a home shows, the price it commands, and the time it stays on the market.
Presenting a home in a way that allows buyers to imagine themselves living there can make all the difference in the world when selling a home. We are committed to making sure that it's a positive difference. While some homeowners may spend thousands on professional stagers to help sell their home, The Humphrey Team offers professional staging services free of charge when you sell with us.
Sandy Humphrey is an Accredited Staging Professional, and maintains a collection of decorator items, such as floral arrangements, paintings, pillows, etc., that we use to transform your home into a "model home". Sometimes, Sandy even "borrows" items from the Humphreys' own home to make sure the stage is perfectly set. The result of this extra effort? Staged homes sell faster and for more money.
How will The Humphrey Team transform your home? We'll recommend limiting clutter and personal items, which can hinder a buyer's ability to picture his/her own belongings in the home. To help you along, we hire someone to help you pack up items you won't need until after you move. We'll also arrange furniture and decorative items in a way that shows off the home's best features, and creates a feeling of spaciousness. Sometimes, we recommend low-cost upgrades that will bring a big return on investment, such as glazing kitchen countertops, or adding a fresh coat of paint. The Humphrey Team has negotiated with a number of vendors for wholesale pricing, with fees payable at closing.
How well can we transform your home? Many of our clients are amazed, and say they almost don't recognize their home. Take a look at our before and after pictures and see for yourself!
